    Description

    Standard size chrome postcard shows the picnic area at Fairytown USA in Middle Island, New York, on Route 25, 14 miles from Smithtown on Long Island. This 28-acre kiddie amusement park opened in 1955 by brothers Thomas and Charles Spata. Nursery rhyme characters were featured; there were swings and sand boxes. Kiddie rides, including the wet boat rides and pinto fire engines, were operated by Nunley's of Long Island. Fairyland closed in 1964. Unused; excellent condition. Advertising.
